Awards- 2012 MotorTrend Truck of the Year

This year Motor Trend awarded the Ford F-150 as the best truck of the year, i certainly agree as a friend of mine has one and it is great! Here I leave the video from MotorTrend.com explaining the decision and more.

Events- 17th Annual Vintage Weekend

"Each year on the first weekend in December, Ocean Reef Club hosts Vintage Weekend, a four-day celebration of antique and classic planes, automobiles and yachts."

Last week a great celebration took place at Key Lago, here vintage car owners and fanatics got together to show off their precious cars, although it is "just for fun" the public votes for prizes like "Best in Show", "Best in class (post and pre WWII)", "Best sport touring" and others. Among others, cars like the 1930 Stutz coupe (Photo from autoweek.com by Mark Elias) and the 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost (Photo from autoweek.com by Mark Elias) must have stunned the public.

Mi favourite cars- Maybach 57

You may have already noticed that i love classy cars, mostly european, so ill follow the my trend with a son of Mercedes Benz, the Maybach 57.
Although the exterior is not that spectacular the interior is exeptional, here is a CarBuzz paragraph describimg the Maybach:
''Luxury features include navigation system with voice recognition, 4-zone climate controls (one for each passenger), massaging seats, powered front and rear seats, heated cup holders, remote engine starter, and much, much more.''
The car is used by heads of state and billionares and although i love it mercedes has plans to take the brand of production in 2013 after failing to achieve the 800 per year goal established when the brand was reborn in 2002. Its a pity but its a right decision

Bentley Continental

The last fav car i wrote about was an all time pre war german classic, now i come with something very different a big time british classic.
The Continental name has been going around since the early 50s but in my opinion the Continental got really good since 2006 when the Continemtal GTC was launched.
This car has almost everything, from the classy elegance to the tremendous performance,my favourite continentals are the S2 ('59),S3 ('62) and the all new GT.
I tend to like sophisticated rough looking cars, not to pointy more 'squared' i would say and this one fits the profile, it also has a great interior design plus an outsanding marque reputation.

Mercedes Benz 540K Cabriolet

The 540K was a small production Mercedes Benz produced from 1937 till 1940, it was produced like a Cabriolet, Coupe and Limo, my personal choice is the classy Cabriolet, the car is exeptional any way you look at it and probably the best looking vintage car ive ever seen.
I was reading a topspeed.com article on the car, and found out that recently a 540K was sold for $2,013,000 which is a nice price for a powerful car like this.
The car was one of mercedes benz latest productions before the war, after it the car world would be deeply changed and cars would change their design forever.
The stylish curves and the suppossed power the car should have make this german my first favourite car on the list.
